I live alone.

Well, except for the two most awesome-est cats God ever created.

Yep-I know what you’re thinking “Crazy Cat Lady” and you’re probably not wrong. But lets be honest, I got the cats so I would have something besides the TV to talk to.

Besides, as far as boys are concerned its slim pickins out there and cats don’t have other girlfriends (or wives), don’t live at home with their mothers and don’t need a job.

And my friends…. don’t get me started…Nothing but disappointment…

So what’s a girl to do when faced with such dismal prospects. I say (extremely sarcastically) find yourself a good-old celebrity crush and dream of the day when he realizes that you, a mere mortal, help him stay grounded amid the chaos of his professional life.

My celebrity crush will no doubt raise some eyebrows but to me he is as dreamy as dreamy can be…

Adam Durtiz- lead singer of the Counting Crows- dread-locked and depressed- makes me giddy like a middle-school girl. Let me preface my next statement with the belief that music preference is purely personal and someone is bound to disagree with my admiration of everything Crow. Here it is plain and simple: that man writes the music and lyrics I wish I could.

For those of you unfamiliar with their music- never fear- my imaginary boyfriend Adam and his bandmates have a new album, Saturday Nights and Sunday Mornings, due out on March 25th. You can check out our count down anytime you feel like you can hardly wait to hear the song that he wrote about me.

Me, I’ve made a paper chain, like the ones we used to make in elementary school for Christmas.

Maybe it really is time for some new friends…
